The James Hotel NYC Stylist Collection

Did you ever get to your hotel room and realize everything you packed feels very San Francisco and you are feeling the New York edge?  You don’t need a full makeover just a small style bump up to keep you in step with your new surroundings.

That is the idea behind The Stylist Collection at  The James Hotel

NYC. They asked me to come up with a “fashion mini bar”for the guests in the suites.

Its called “The Stylist Collection”.  Make a statement with a jumbo chain-link necklace from Kara Ross. Or forget your water-wear and want to go poolside? Animal print drawstring and sun-hat from Echo Design is there to buy for a reasonable price. Other items include a chunky stretch bracelet and geometric dangle earring from Trina Turk.  A textured cotton wrap  from Christopher Fischer does the trick for a chilly New York night.  For the guys, a waxed cotton i-pad case from Ernest Alexander, funky socks from Paul Smith and a classic striped banded Timex.

I chose designers who live in NY and have shops around the Soho area. Everything fits right in with the naturalistic, organic lux feel of The James. Stay in one of the suites and check it out. Or you can book me for a private shopping tour thru the hotel.    http://www.jameshotels.com/New-York-Hotel.aspx?name=The-James-New-York&page=Stylist-Collection
